NYSDOH Postpones School-Based Health Center Medicaid Managed Care Transition to May 1, 2025

Per the notice below, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has postponed the school-based health center transition to Medicaid managed care until at least May 1, 2025.

Based on stakeholder requests for additional time to prepare for implementation and timing of other Medicaid Managed Care (MMC) initiatives, the New York State Department of Health will extend the carve-in date for school-based health center services (SBHCs) into the MMC benefit package to no sooner than Thursday, May 1, 2025. In an effort to support a seamless transition, this extension will allow SBHCs and MMC Plans to work through the final issues related to contracting and network participation.
