"Think Like a CEO and HIPAA Compliance"

Instructor:  Christopher Salierno, D.D.S.
                     Dr. Salierno is a General Dentist in Melville, NY.  He has served as the National President of the American Student Dental Association and Chair of the ADA New Dentist Committee.  He lectures internationally on clinical dentistry, practice management, and leadership development.  Dr. Salierno was the Chief Editor of Dental Economics from 2014 to 2021.  In 2021, he became the Chief Dental office at Tend.

Dental practices have been able to thrive as small, independent businesses.  However, there are a number of economic factors today that are threatening the way our practices have traditionally operated.  With the looming threats of increased competition and decreasing revenue, dentists will benefit from learning how to think like a CEO.  In this workshop, we will learn about and use popular management models to re-imagine our businesses.  Participants will complete worksheets and discuss specific strategies for their own practices.  We'll also explore how and when to use technology, such as modern practice management software and AI, to gain leverage while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
